  25.      Installing a Client
  26.  
  27.      To install NetWare Lite and configure your computer as a client, do the
  28.      following steps.  Depending on your current setup, the installation
  29.      program may skip some of the steps.
  30.  
  31.      1.   Insert the diskette labeled PROGRAM into the A: (or B:) drive.
  32.  
  33.      2.   Type A:INSTALL, and press <Enter>.
  34.  
  35.      3.   Verify that "Make this machine a client" is highlighted, and press
  36.           <Enter>.
  37.  
  38.      4.   Type in the path of the directory where you want NetWare Lite
  39.           installed, or simply press <Enter> to accept the default.  You may
  40.           include the A: or B: drive letter if your computer does not have a
  41.           fixed disk installed.  See Fax Document 2655 or FYI.P.6017 for more
  42.           information on installing to a floppy diskette.

  44.      5.   Insert the diskette labeled DRIVER into the A: drive, and press
  45.           <Esc>.

  47.      6.   Use the arrow keys to highlight the type of network board in your
  48.           machine, and press <Enter>.  If you are not sure which board to
  49.           choose, refer to the hardware documentation to determine what type
  50.           of board you have or which interface it is compatible with.
  51.  
  52.      7.   A window showing default settings for your board is displayed.  You
  53.           may change these if necessary by highlighting the item and pressing
  54.           <Enter>, then highlight the correct value and press <Enter>.  Refer
  55.           to the hardware documentation if you are not sure what the settings
  56.           should be.  When the settings are correct, press <Esc>.

  58.      8.   Answer YES or NO to the "path" message.  Note that if the C:\NWLITE
  59.           directory is not in the DOS path, you will have to CD to it to use
  60.           the NET utility.  You will also have to include the path for every
  61.           NET command executed at the command line.

  64.      9.   Answer YES or NO to the "lastdrive" message.  Note that LASTDRIVE
  65.           should be set to the G: drive or higher to use the NET utility.  If
  66.           you answer NO, you must edit the CONFIG.SYS file to include a
  67.           LASTDRIVE command and reboot before you can use any NET command.

  69.      10.  NetWare Lite is now installed.  Press <Esc> to exit the installation
  70.           program.
